Main Attraction Title
Jungle Park has a completely different atmosphere compared to a classic zoo in Tenerife. More greenery, fewer “exhibitions” — it feels like walking through a jungle where the animals are simply part of the environment.
The strongest highlight is the birds of prey show. The birds fly low above your heads, changing direction at the last moment, and you have them literally right above you — this is not something you watch from a distance, but an experience happening right next to you. The sea lion show is calmer, more family-oriented, but still very well done. There are also short feeding sessions for animals such as penguins, raccoons or coatis — if you catch the right time, you can get closer and see them in action. Apart from the shows, the park is explored on foot. There are pathways through tropical vegetation, an aviary where you walk among birds, a lemur area where they move around next to you, and an orchid garden. There are many animals — from monkeys and meerkats to crocodiles and capybaras — but it never feels overcrowded, more like a relaxed pace.
One thing that makes this place stand out is the BOB ride — a downhill track through the park. Several hundred meters long, somewhere between a sled ride and a rollercoaster, but in a more family-friendly version. A nice break between sightseeing.
This place is a good option if you want a calmer day and do not enjoy crowds. It feels less intense than large parks such as Siam Park or Loro Parque. For children, it is interesting enough, but overall it is more of a park for walking than for
“constant attractions”.
It is worth knowing a few things in advance. The park is located on a hill, so there are many slopes and stairs — with a stroller it may be more difficult. Show times are fixed, so it is a good idea to check them at the entrance and plan your day around them. There are three food points inside the park — Palapa restaurant (with a view of the sea lion show), simpler options like pizza and snack bars. You do not need to bring anything with you. The ticket includes access to the entire park, the birds of prey and sea lion shows, as well as feeding sessions for selected animals.
If you are looking for a greener, calmer place with a slightly different atmosphere than the large popular parks — Jungle Park is a great option for a relaxed half-day visit.
